  3. Any dog that is aggressive will also be asked to leave. Fighting is not accepted!
  4. Each dog will have a judge with a stopwatch timing that dog. Time will start at the word GO. The time stops when the dog crosses the finish line.  The fastest 3 dogs from all heats in each category will come back to the final race on Sunday.
  5. In the case of a tie for 3rd hole both dogs will be taken to the finals
  6. There will be heats for each dog size small, medium, and large with no more than 6 dogs in each heat. The number of heats will depend on how many dogs are signed up for each size of dog.

Race:

  1. There will be a dog handler and a dog caller.
  2. Dog handler is in charge of keeping his or her dog on a leash until the race is ready to start. When the countdown from 3 begins the handler will unleash their dog and must hold on to the collar until the handler hears GO.
  3. At the GO the handler will release the dog. False starts will be disqualified by the line judge.
  4. Dog caller will be at the finish line with leash to catch the dog after it has finished the race.
  5. All dogs will need to be leashed at the finish line. Failure to catch the dog and have them on the leash can also be a disqualification. Time judge will make that decision.
